Expansion Draft: Los Angeles Kings

Los Angeles Kings:

The Kings exposed a lot of intriguing options for Vegas to choose with the likes of some flashy names like Marian Gaborik and Dustin Brown but I believe these contracts are too big for the Golden Knights to gobble up. The next two players that are the most understandable selections are Trevor Lewis and Brayden McNabb. With the protection of 4-4-1 this left McNabb available for the taking and is only a $1.8 cap hit with and he is still only 26 years old. Trevor Lewis is the seasoned veteran of the LA kings part taking in both of their cup wins in 2012 and 2014 and is a more than viable 4th line grinder who can provide leadership to an expansion team. However the ability for Vegas to acquire an abundant amount of NHL ready defencemen will push them over the edge to choose McNabb who can come in as a starter day one.

Coaster’s Pick: Brayden McNabb
