Expansion Draft: New York Islanders

New York Islanders:

The reason Alan Quine is the logical choice for Vegas is because the islanders are reportedly willing to give up the 15Th overall selection in this year’s entry draft in exchange for Vegas not picking: Josh Bailey, Ryan Strome, Casey Cizikas, Brock Nelson and Calvin De Haan. Another component of this deal might be the Knights taking on Mikhail Grabovski’s $5 million dollar cap hit that runs through next year. Vegas gets a young forward who broke onto the scene in the 2015-2016 playoffs for the surprise top 8 New York Islanders. The 24 year old Quine played 61 games this past season for the islanders netting 18 points. Given the amount of goalies and defensemen Vegas is bound to take, this will be a good fit for the Knights and Quine.

Ler’s Pick: Alan Quine
