Alex Ovechkin for President? #CapsYear

“Give the man the chance and he’s never looking back”

Alex Ovechkin has been given his first taste of Conference Final Playoff hockey and the guy has never looked like a more complete hockey player. Scoring huge goals from his signature office, throwing game breaking hits, and he never fails to find himself in the middle of any good scrum.

The Stats

Ovechkin has played an integral part of the Washington Capitals offense producing 10 goals and 9 assists for a total of 19 points in just 15 playoff games. Not to mention some of the timeliest goals to really send the team into overdrive. Honestly, I don’t think the NHL has seen such an electric player leading his team night in and night out. The Caps are heading into game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a series lead of 2-1.

Is This the #CapsYear???

Being in his 13th National Hockey League season, is this finally the year we get to see this incredible human being hoist the Stanley Cup for this first time in his career and for the first time in Washington Capitals history?

What’s Next

The Caps are firing on all cylinders right now. Their bottom six is absolutely crushing the likes of the light and finesse Tampa Bay squad, while the top six are dominating the scoresheet potting powerplay goal after powerplay goal. Game 4 is Thursday, you can expect the #Caps to come out flying after a disappointing loss on home ice last night.

My Prediction

The Washington Capitals had their last loss of the Eastern Conference Finals and will finish up with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 5 games. Bold one might say, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Ovi and the Capitals. I think it is safe to say that this team is the most exciting and electric team right now of the 4 playoff teams remaining.

So, just how far will the Caps go? Is it a #CapsYear Will #HistoryBeMade ?

I certainly hope so.
